The Next Step (=

The Others is a Psychological horror rated 15. As you can see there is no sign of gore or violence, the different angles and lighting creates the tension and what you cannot see is what frightens the audience and keeps them alert because the audience are eager to see what it is that is there, or not there.

The Unborn shows different aspects to what you usually would see, they do show what and who is doing things to her but we are not sure why it is happening and as the trailer goes on you see different angles being used and the lighting. One main feature is when they want the audience to engage to a specific object or person they put the key light to that object or person, for the audience to put there full focus on that. Even though the audience is able to see what is doing on. They are left with so many questions. The music is also what builds up the tension and suspense throughout the trailer.

The Ring uses also uses music to build tension, they use a sound bridge for the movie trailer to flow, as the trailer goes on you can see long shots and close ups used often because they want the audience to feel as if they are the actor or they are in the scene. At the end the tempo speeds up to show the events happen often and quickly to show come scenes of what happens, leaving the audience wanting more.

Here are some examples of 15 certificate movies that are Horror, manly psychological horror because there are not using extreme violence and other uses of horror, they are leaving the music and lighting to frighten the audience. The also use this aspects because some of the story lines are unrealistic but it gives a feel of it actually happening.
